Suitable for all nationalities, the world class cast features the amazing talents of Máirín Fahy on fiddle and vocals. Máirín is joined on stage by her outstanding band including Chris Kelly, Gerard Fahy and Yvonne Fahy featuring the unique sounds of the bodhran, whistles, uileann pipes, accordions, bouzuki, guitars, keyboards and much more.

The Trad on the Prom dancers have an astounding 16 World Titles between them including the current male World Irish Dancing Champion Cathal Keaney and Five Times World female Champion Claire Greaney. Joining them on stage are Cian Nolan, Siobhan Manson, Mary McDonagh, Doireann Cearney, Anne-Marie Keaney and All-Ireland Sean-Nós Champion Emma O'Sullivan. Singers include Eurovision star Marc Roberts, Multi-AIMS winner Sean Costello and Chieftains vocalist Yvonne McMahon.

Last year, Dingle took pride of place among your favourite home holiday destinations. But for 2018, the west has won, with Galway banking almost double the votes of any other place.

“There’s something about that city,” you said. “The moment I get off the bus, I get this buzz. I've yet to have one bad out night there.”

You hailed Galway’s “great energy” as “a perfect blend between traditional Ireland and modern society”, and called it Ireland’s “culture capital”.

Galway’s most popular athletic event, the Streets of Galway 8k Road Race event will take place in mid-August 2019 at 7pm and include more than 3000 entrants. It starts on Fr Griffin Road, winds its way through the city's streets, follows a course out around Salthill, before taking in the delights of the prom on the way to the finish in The Claddagh at South Park.
